Welcome to my website. I am a BACP registered and experienced psychodynamic counsellor offering both short and long term counselling to adults and young people age 16 and over. My practice is in a quiet location in central Kingston Upon Thames and offers a safe and welcoming space for you to explore your current difficulties.
People come to counselling for many reasons. You may be experiencing a major life event, personal crisis or challenge and may be finding it difficult to work through this on your own. Counselling is useful for anyone who is interested in exploring their thoughts, feelings and behaviours and wishing to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and a greater level of self awareness.
I have a particular interest in perinatal mental health, the parent-infant relationship and supporting parents with the transition to parenthood and beyond. I work with both mums and dads experiencing difficulties such as postnatal depression, anxiety and birth trauma. I also work in preparing parents for the psychological transition to becoming a mother and father, an often neglected element of antenatal courses, yet one of the most common challenges faced by the parents I see.
I have worked as a counsellor in primary and secondary schools and am passionate about supporting young people to help build emotional resilience during the challenging times in their lives. In addition to my private practice I currently work as a school counsellor for a children's mental health charity and have helped young people with a range of difficulties such as anxiety, exam stress, gender and identity, low self esteem and relationship struggles with family and friends.
Prior to training as a counsellor I spent over 10 years providing HR support, training, coaching, mentoring, mediation and outplacement support within the voluntary and higher education sector. I believe that my previous experience, combined with my clinical experience as a psychodynamic counsellor offers a unique experience in supporting you on your journey.
Clients come to me for help with a wide range of issues. Some of the difficulties I am experienced in helping with are:
- Anxiety
- Bereavement

- Miscarriage

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I adhere to their professional code of conduct and ethical framework for good practice in counselling and psychotherapy.
I welcome you to my private practice in Kingston Upon Thames where I offer face to face and online counselling via Zoom.
I was always looking outside myself for strength and confidence, but it comes from within.
It is there all the time.
